Wills, Probate & Succession Election Commission authorities sealed the work stations of four IT organizations in Chennai and sent their representatives out on Thursday, as they worked regardless of orders proclaiming a general holiday for all business locales and stations, IT organizations, theatres, lodgings and others.
As stated by reports coming in, more than 3,000 professionals in these well-known IT organizations reported present in the morning and were found at their workplace when EC authorities swooped on them and sent them out.
All four organizations have been sealed and FIRs have also been registered against them in the wake of the non-cooperation.
It is noteworthy here to mention that the Election Commission of India has declared it a holiday by issuing a press release through different mediums of communication.
The sealed company officials, on the other hand have said that it was almost impossible for them stop their operations as they work on 24x7 basis. It was for the first time when the Election Commission of India has taken such a tough stand on the companies operational on polling day.
